Covid-19 honey bee project beneficiaries- the ladies of Kya Sands via the Rare Bear Project!

It's a wrap! Our last bee has finally been sold. We made it to our goal of 100- and meeting our total target of R20,000 raised for the women of Kya Sands (who make the bees that we designed)- through The Rare Bear Project, Rare Diseases South Africa NPO 120-991 & African Honey Bee.

Again, a huge thank you to everybody who helped make it possible. Have a look at some behind the scenes photos of the manufacturing of the hand-made crotchet honey bee toys which we really enjoyed and wanted to share!

Each bee was sold for R200, half of which was paid to Rare Bear who organizes the project. The R100 is further split into:

*R80 which goes directly to the ladies of Kya Sands who make the toys

*and the remaining R20 goes towards running the program and organisation! A little really does go a long way. Thank you again for making a difference!
